It is a very fun and beautiful old town to visit that immerse you in history. You get to experience how things were done a few hundred years ago. The staff was amazing at every building you walked into. They give you so much information about that time period as well as the history of the people that lived there. A must see if you love history. They also have fun little shops like a bakery, coffee shop and a lounge of sorts with live music. Fun fun fun!

It’s always a fun experience to walk around Old Salem. Not sure if it was off-season this time, but there were very few people around. Last time I was here for fall, it was so crowded and so many shops were open. It was still nice to walk around the streets and take some pictures. Some of the museums needed tickets for entry but we didn’t have it. It feels like you’re back in time walking the stone roads and seeing the old architecture.

My family and I visited and just did a self guided tour (we did not purchase tickets) because we wanted to check it out the place first to see if it was worth it. Just to kill a couple of hours walking around on a beautiful day was well with it and we will definitely be back to see the inside of the houses and shops. People are dressed up for the times and the explain how things were made in each specific shop. From the beautiful landscape, houses and just walking down the old stone roads, I recommend taking a stroll back in time in Old Salem.

Went for a field trip and had a great time, we wish it would have been longer (so we stayed!). Everyone working here really enjoys talking about the culture and lives of the people who lived there. They’re knowledgeable and fully immersed in what they’re talking about. The bakery was also fun, and we plan to bring the whole family back.

Came here for just a few hours while I was passing through town with my family. Pretty cool to learn about the history and see the old buildings, but like I said, we weren't able to stay long and it was in the '90s.

Such a unique experience full of history and architecture! We learned so much about wood working, gardening, fabrics, etc. This space was FULL of history and everyone you encountered was excited to tell you all about it!
